Introduction:

The Z45X-16Q non-rising stem flange gate valve features a trapezoidal thread on its stem. Through the nut at the valve top and guide groove in the valve body, rotational motion is converted into linear motion, transforming operating torque into thrust.

 

 

Characteristics:

-When the gate is lifted to a height equal to 1:1 times the valve bore diameter, the fluid passage becomes fully unobstructed.
-However, this position cannot be visually monitored during operation.
-In practice, the stem's top position (fully extended point) is marked as the "fully open" position.
-To prevent thermal locking, the valve is typically reversed by ½-1 turn from the top position as the operational fully open position. --Thus, the valve's fully open status is determined by the gate's travel position.
